Morris Iemma, Chairman of GRNSW, will be the guest speaker at the Annual General Meeting of the NSW GBOTA at Wentworth Park this Sunday, December 10, 2017.
Mr. Iemma is a former State Premier and was the chairman of the Greyhound Racing Industry Reform Panel prior to his July 1, 2017 appointment as chairman of GRNSW. GRNSW is empowered by the Greyhound Racing Act 2017 to undertake commercial management of NSW greyhound racing and will soon commence preparation of an industry strategic plan.
NSW GBOTA chairman Geoff Rose said he was delighted to have Mr. Iemma attend the AGM.
“Greyhound racing has faced and worked its way through considerable challenges in the past 18 months.
“The work of GRNSW in the next six months will lay the foundation for our future so hearing from Morris at this early stage should assist members understand the issues that are to be dealt with and, further, how NSW GBOTA members and industry participants can contribute to the peak body planning process.”
The NSW GBOTA AGM will be held on the first floor of the Wentworth Park grandstand with parking available off the Wattle Street entrance.
In addition to the presentation from Mr. Iemma, members will be presented with various NSW GBOTA internal reports, including past and current year trading and the Association’s strategic plan.
The meeting will commence at 10am and a BBQ lunch will be served following its completion at 1pm.
